My Priorities

Fighting for You

Cost

Reducing Member Expenses

Byron is committed to responsible financial leadership that keeps more money in members’ pockets. Through strategic planning, transparent budgeting, and smart negotiations, he aims to reduce operational costs and eliminate unnecessary spending. Every decision will be guided by one principle: ensuring that the union’s financial resources directly benefit its members and strengthen IBEW Local 191 for years to come.

Contracts

Stronger Negotiations, Fairer Outcomes

As Business Manager, Byron will fight for stronger, fairer contracts that reflect the true value of IBEW Local 191’s electricians. He is dedicated to improving collective bargaining strategies, enhancing benefits, and ensuring that every agreement upholds the dignity, safety, and financial security of union members. His goal is simple — better negotiations that deliver real, lasting results for working electricians and their families.

Engagement

Your Voice, Our Strength

Byron believes that the foundation of a great union is communication. He will prioritize member engagement through open dialogue, accessible leadership, and transparent decision-making. Every member’s perspective matters, and Byron’s leadership will ensure that Local 191 remains a place where all voices are heard, respected, and represented in shaping the union’s direction.

Stewardship

Every Dollar Accountable

Byron believes in responsible financial stewardship that puts members first. Before any dollar is spent, he will ensure every expenditure answers three key questions: How will this improve the membership? How will it put more money back on your check? How will it get more of us working? Every financial decision must serve a purpose that strengthens Local 191 and delivers measurable value to its members. Byron is dedicated to transparency and accountability—ensuring that every cent of union funds supports the people who earn it.

Apprenticeship

Investing in the Next Generation

Byron knows that the future of IBEW Local 191 depends on empowering apprentices. His plan includes providing better class schedules, fair treatment that recognizes apprentices as full union members, and faster pathways to achieving journeyman status. By improving support, education, and access to resources, Byron will ensure that apprentices not only succeed—but thrive—within the brotherhood. Stronger apprenticeship programs mean a stronger union, a stronger workforce, and a stronger future for all members.
